Stronger Together!

The Boston Marathon has faced adversity before… and prevailed

These are difficult days for many of us. Our lives have been disrupted in ways most of us could never have imagined. Finances, relationships, education, employment… even necessities like food and toilet paper have been affected. Our running, which for so many of us is stress relief, healing (and so many other positive things) is in disarray. Training groups, races and events for months on end have been canceled or at best, postponed. Now, in a time where stress is at its worst, our running community is forced apart.

This… this will be a moral victory. One that will remind us all that we *CAN* and *WILL* find ways to get through the challenging times – together. Those 15 runners on Patriots Day will remind us all that we will still prevail as a community. Working together. Our history, our tradition, everything we have all worked so hard for – it is not lost.

Every time we see that clock running, it will be a reminder: even *this* did NOT stop us. We are still going. Day after day, as we remain cooped up in our homes, we will have the ticking clock to remind us that life still goes on; that our races still continue.

The Boston Marathon finish line is *still* waiting for us. We will get through this!
